This location, this monument, this historical beach, this is the day, September 15, 2023 I'll be celebrating one thousand images here on Fine Art America. Thank you to all my visitors and followers and to Susan Boblasky of Designation Advertising, and to my sister's Charlotte and Rebecca and to cousins and aunts and uncles, Mom and Dad, and to my friends; for the encouragement throughout the years.

At nine years old, Theresa Fairchild (F.K.A.Theresa F McGraw) picked up her first camera. Thanks to her parents and their interests in art and photography, she was encouraged to pursue her love of photography. Theresa was all in at a young age and studied and used her dad's 40-year-old darkroom equipment to learn the "Zone System" developed by Ansel Adams. It wasn't surprising to anyone in her family that after a short time, she outgrew the equipment and the space at home and moved on to the photo lab at a nearby Army base, where she self-taught herself the skills needed to work in a wet darkroom developing and printing both black and white film and color film. I loved visiting Tybee Island with you and picking up interesting shells with you! I love this picture of the lighthouse "shadow" on the shells! It is so special because it is #1000! I have the picture of "Thank You" spelled out in people, and a yellow ribbon and the huge American Flag on the lighthouse when the troops were being deployed to Iraq back in 2003! When I buy this, it will be #3 lighthouse, and so I am now a lighthouse collector!
